P3d v5 pmdg

PC: I7 K 4. No you're not the only one. This is turning out to be one very long Beta test I used to be one of their biggest fans but now doubting. It is free and a lot more immersive and just feels a lot more like flying a real This is subjective of course but just my feeling. I seems the will come first then the NGu, am still on 4. I will remind them off how v5 was released etc, I find it pathetic and there is no reason that we cannot enjoy every flight sim out there if we wish to do so.

It's all a win-win in my eyes. P3D v5 is going to take time and i will at the right time use it and i will buy on day one MSFS and enjoy that also. D avid M urden. PC k 4. Ok, my apologies, this might start getting out of hand Lockdown is getting to me too. I know it's complicated software,so i should keep my trap shut. In fact I thought the was fine before. To me my dislike of this plane in real life biases me.

Now who was it who said the would be released first to get some sales going You need to be a member in order to leave a comment. Sign up for a new account in our community. It's easy! Today, These are normally tasks that annoy me- but it has been so darned long since we saw any true sun around Northern Virginia- even pulling weeds under the watchful eye of the golden retriever was a welcome break from monotony- so please forgive me.

While all of this was going on, we also decided to fold in the required changes for P5D, which were significant. Updated models, updated VCs, updated textures, restructuring of the EFB and Nav display to be able to read the new scenery file layout, and the changes go on and on. Some have had questions about many of the new features in P5D and whether we will capitalize on them right away. The short answer is: Not until we get all of the product lines compatible. THEN we will start to work in the changes.

Announcement

We made substantial changes to the product in order to bring it up to the modern standard with which we are working in our code base- and these changes needed very thorough testing to be sure we don't leave any problems behind to upset an otherwise smooth simming experience. I think our beta team will agree that we have put no pressure on them at all and we have been cataloging their feedback, pushing fixes at them constantly, and asking them to be very thorough in their efforts to break this airplane.

They have succeeded subtitle cloy eps 9 indo in that regard- while also giving us feedback on things that they thought could use improving steering on the tug during pushback for instance and we have invested a significant amount of time and energy into answering their inquiries.

The good news is that this code is readily portable back to NGXu- and stomping out the issues now will make it a MUCH easier port over to the code base which desperately needs some of this new technology for refreshing the product line. Here are some things we would like you to know. Please read through all of it, so that we don't have the forum flooded with the same question over-and-over, thanks!

Compatibility: In order to run PMDG products in P5D, we will need to rebuild certain key pieces of each product in order to strip out problem areas, replace them with correctly implemented features, and capitalize on many of the new efficiencies that are to be gained in this new platform. This process of doing this is underway, but will take some time These builds are going to take a litle time to roll out to you and your patience is appreciated.

The first to roll out will be the and we are hoping to have that to you within days. The others will follow swiftly thereafter. Please don't confuse free with easy, however. There is a significant amount of work we have to do in the background for you Timeline Expectations: This is hard to pin down, as these rebuilds are not simply a matter of recompiling the installer with awareness of P5D. There is quite a bit more that goes into them, including complete refactors of certain functions, lighting, etc.

These things take time. Manual Dragon-Drop: Yes, I call it that on purpose Laugh--it is funny! Enterprising users who know enough about how products are structured into P4D will probably be able to manually drag-and-drop all of the necessary files over to P5D.

Since we do not make any effort to prevent our product from running when version numbers change- you will find that the P4D versions will run quite happily in P5D- which is just grand, but be warned: There are many things that need to be adjusted in order for the product to run well. Beware of Dog: Anyone who feels enterprising and wishes to drag files around in hopes if seeing our products in P5D: You do so at your own risk.

We will not provide, nor will we even answer questions related to any problems you create while doing this. We will not reset license keys for you because you locked yourself out due to impatience, nor will we provide even a hint of suggestion on what you might be doing wrong or how to fix your installation if things go awry. Generally we think it best that you wait until we give you a proper working installer and then you will be all set.

We are probably aware of that We have already seen a number of users flooding our technical support team with questions along the lines of "I see the new P5D has will PMDG.

In this update you'll find new content, bug fixes, and an updated list of known issues. A note from theBy robApril 10 in The Prepar3d Forum. I've watched some twitch streams of the performance improvement with V5 which is insane; huge scenery draw distance, very high FPS compared to V4. Do you think its a safe bet for me to buy PMDG now during this sale or am I likely to be stuck for months unable to use it?

But giving the fact they didn't charge even from P3Dv3 to v4. I'm optimisticly guess it would go well. From what I understand pmdg charged a premium for P3D because of the eventual plan to go to bit and the necessary extra development needed for that switch.

Even then I would wait: what if a year from now you decide you will use MSFS and have to purchase the again for that platform?

p3d v5 pmdg

It is just too expensive a product to buy it again every year. In any case I don't believe they would charge an amount close to what they charged when upgrading to P3D which was the full price. They're unlikely to charge for a platform change. They're more likely to charge for significant upgrades to existing models. System: i9 k 4. To be brutally honest, I think even the most ardent PMDG fan would have to admit that, at least compared to a lot of other developers, they aren't exactly the most philanthropic bunch out there.

p3d v5 pmdg

It's not helped by a rather arrogant attitude which prevails on their support forums. Their stuff is undeniably good, but they lost me as a customer when they started charging what I thought was prohibitively large amounts for products which I'd already bought from them for other platforms.

I was prepared to pay for the conversion work they had to do for sure, but not the full price all over again.

And I don't think I'm the only one that is true for either. Now it's my choice to do that, and they may yet pull me back into the fold, since I wouldn't cut my nose off just to spite my face, but their fund of goodwill as far as I'm concerned, is running low. Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here.

Agreed, and I'll also put a tenner Down they will put the ngxu on v5 first, wait 3 months till that generates sales, then thewait 3 months again till that generates sales and then You need to be a member in order to leave a comment. It seems that this update has been giving the dev team at Lockheed Martin some fits, which is frustration we can certainly appreciate as fellow developers.

PMDG 737NGXu Base Package for Prepar3D v4 & v5

In an effort to clearly communicate expectations, I want to be sure you have a clear understanding of what we are waiting on, and what our timeline looks like to release these two updates we have pending. We are waiting on the HF2 update because some of the changes that Lockheed Martin is making impact the appearance of dynamic lighting within the sim. We have gone through a few iterations of HF2, which caused us to have to re-shuffle changes in the lighting system, so we elected to sit on our hands until the final version of HF2 is available so that we can make a last round of changes without concern that further changes would be required after it lands on your machine.

We will get the release version of HF2 at the same time all of you receive it. We will then need a bit of time to go through and review a dozen or so different areas where we know changes have taken place in order to validate that changes are-or-are-not required in our products.

Depending upon what we find, this might take a few hours or it might take a few days. Once we have our changes made, we will push final versions of our updates out to our beta teams in order to allow them to validate that we didn't break anything during the final adjustments. Once we are comfortable that we have a solid update build we will push them out to you. This will happen sometime in the day window from when we get the RTM.

It is a wide window because we don't often know what we are getting in fixes to the platform and it is does require quite a bit of checking The update will be a full re-install because we are adding the P5D platform to that product line concurrent with this update.

While this is going on, we are not sitting still- there is a TON of work going on behind the scenes that I am unable to detail for you. So it is probably Click to Enlarge. Advanced Search.
